Viega has added a touchless, electronically actuated WC flush plate to its successful Visign for Style line. Visign for Style sensitive impresses with a stylish design featuring an exclusive-looking surface finish in deep black combined with a discreet light grey. Technically, Viega has retained the tried and proven electronic control from the Visign for More sensitive range. The awarding of the "Design Plus powered by ISH 2017" quality label as well as the internationally renowned iF Label already underscores the high standards of design and innovation of the new Visign for Style sensitive.
Viega designed its Visign for Style WC flush plate range especially for modern family bathrooms, as well as for the semi-public sanitaryware sector. It embodies high levels of user convenience and reliable quality, as well as introducing modern design styling to the WC. The new Visign for Style sensitive enhances those attributes by providing touchless, hygienic flush actuation. Users simply wave a hand in front of the relevant graphically highlighted function zone, and the flush starts. The larger zone represents a full flush; the smaller one a resource-conserving partial flush.
Innovative graphical solution
In cooperation with artefakt design of Darmstadt, Germany, Viega has created a design language which perfectly visualises the touchless functionality of this new WC flush plate. Based on the pixel design familiar from many other fields, it features a stand-alone graphical solution in the form of a cloud. In order to preserve the sense of lightness within the design, the diameters of the individual pixels gradually decrease towards the outer edges, until they almost disappear. In this way, the functional attributes become an integral part of the design. The slim wall construction of just 7 millimetres underscores the modern look.
Phosphorescent surface print
The light grey 'pixel cloud' is not only a strikingly innovative design element however; it also serves as a discreet shimmering green orientation light in the dark. The phosphorescent effect is created by a photoluminescent paint used in the watchmaking industry, which is continually recharged both by daylight and by artificial light.
Tried and proven technology inside
The electronic technology is combined with a maintenance-free, hard-wearing Bowden cable, and can optionally be powered from the mains or (when modernising for example) by battery. The Visign for Style sensitive is installed in the same way as Viega's familiar touchless WC flush plates. Tile-level WC installation is also possible as usual.
Visign for Style sensitive can be retrofitted to any Viega cistern model from 1999 or later.
Maintaining drinking water quality
The Hygiene+ flush function can be activated as required, so preventing drinking water stagnation. The intelligent technology from Viega flushes automatically after a preset interval dependent on the last flush, so avoiding long periods of stagnation even when the WC is not in use. That makes Visign for Style sensitive a high-end design solution for building planning projects too.
